The event

Extreme conditions. Wind and waves.

The event runs on the single best day of the window — the day the Strait delivers heavy wind and real swell together. The permits are being written so the window can extend into April if March does not deliver.

Judging you can measure

Big air is judged holistically. We put numbers under it.

The event runs on TotalScore, our own scoring platform. Sensor data sits next to the judging panel, and every score reaches the audience the moment it is given — on the beach screen and in the broadcast.

Sensor data per jump Height and airtime measured, not estimated — the numbers the audience always argues about.
Live scoring Heat scores published as the judges enter them. No waiting for a sheet at the end of the day.
Broadcast graphics Scores, rider profiles and sponsor overlays fed into the livestream through the API.
Transparent for riders Every rider sees the same panel the judges see. Fewer protests, faster heats.

TotalScore (totalscore.pro) is developed in-house and already runs GKA competition formats, including the new freestyle format and the event countdown system.

Run on solar, not diesel

At Valdevaqueros 2025 we replaced the diesel generator with a solar and battery system, and rebuilt the logistics around it. That set-up is the baseline for 2027.

More than 400 sports organisations have committed to halving their emissions before 2030 under the UN Sports for Climate Action framework. This is one of the few competitions that can already show the numbers.
